It is hard to believe we are already halfway through January! The holiday lights have been packed away, the resolutions are gathering dust in the corner, and reality has set in for another year.
So, how are you feeling? Are you easing into 2024 with a gentle stroll, or are you hitting the ground running at full speed?
The Easers
For some people, January is a time to take things slow. The holidays can be tiring, and after all that celebrating, it is natural to want to recharge. Maybe you are focusing on getting back into a regular sleep schedule, eating healthy, and spending time with loved ones. Or you are using this time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the year ahead. There is nothing wrong with taking your time and starting the year at your own pace.
The Runners
For others, January is a time to hit the ground running. You are feeling motivated and energized, and you are ready to tackle your goals head-on. You have already started a new workout routine, signed up for a class, or launched a new business venture. You are excited about the possibilities that the new year holds, and you are not wasting any time getting started.
No matter which camp you fall into, there is no right or wrong way to start the year. The most important thing is to do what feels right for you. If you need to take time to ease into things, do it. If you are feeling motivated and ready to go, go for it!
